PROFESSIONAL TRAINING SERIES:
Support Providers and First Responders

The First Responders Training is designed to train participants on how to effectively respond to someone (usually a client) who has experienced sexual violence. To give you an idea of what can be included, the following is a general outline of how we sometimes structure the training. This is very flexible and will be custom designed as to be specific to your particular needs. Needs assessments help us to be aware of the current knowledge base and requirements of the group we're working with, so we can avoid repeat information and cover what you feel is the most relevant to the work that you do. We conduct evaluations at the end of training sessions, and later do follow up evaluations to measure the relevancy and usefulness of the training for your staff.
