The organization received funding from the Department of Social Services for the Executive Director and a Program Coordinator to direct the Volunteer Services Program.

In May, under the name of Service for Sexual Assault Victims (SSAV), the agency incorporated as a non-profit, charitable organization with a Board of Directors, a Constitution and By Laws.
