The Avalon Sexual Assault Centre is a women centred organization which provides a leadership role to end all forms of sexual violence against women and children. Named for Avalon , a mythical island whose female inhabitants are skilled in the healing arts, we are advocates, health practitioners, counsellors, educators and activists. Our new vision is to eliminate sexual assault/abuse, social injustice and other forms of oppression.

The Musasa tree, our symbol, provides shelter, nourishment, and shade to all who depend on it for sustenance. We ask our community to support us in helping women survivors, their partners and non-offending parents to heal from the effects of sexual violence. We challenge all people to commit to a culture free from sexual violence and abuse.
